So happy about how my new year is going to be spent. I don’t have to spend it with people I don’t exactly want to be involved in the next year.

Because I’m going away tomorrow I won’t be able to write anything philosophical for the arrival of 2012.
I don’t really know where to begin with this year, it’s been great, it’s been shit. A lot has happened. I’ve experienced some of the greatest moments ever, yet quite possibly some of the lowest points of my life.

So I went on a ‘date’ today. I met up with this guy and we went plane-spotting. It was fun.

Me: Argh, I hate this question. I love The Smiths, Bowie, Blondie, but I have a dying passion for Frank Turner. And anything sort of acoustic. I enjoy a bit of the ol’ metal too.
Guy: yeah, they’re all good choices, don’t suppose you seen the John Lewis advert by any chance? Using a Smiths song to spread Christmas cheers was a bit ironic...

Last night was so so so fun. I stroked 20 beards. And spoke to beautiful men again. Got a lift home from a hothothot guy. But right now, I’m going to watch Beauty and the Beast and wait for Christmas dinner to be done.
